What to do if you lose your passbook

Please contact us immediately either by telephoning our Head Office on 0121 557 2551, visiting any of our branch offices or entering your details here so that the appropriate action can be taken to ensure no transactions can be made on the account.

Having advised us that your passbook has been lost or stolen we will require you to complete a Missing Passbook Declaration.

You can choose to have a duplicate passbook issued to you or alternatively close your account. There is a £5.00, non-refundable, adminstration charge for lost passbooks unless your lost passbook relates to a childs account or an ISA. In addition, if your book has been stolen and reported to the Police, we will waive the charge subject to a valid crime number being obtained.

Before issuing a new passbook or closing the account we will require identification to be provided to safeguard against someone else seeking to withdraw your funds.

We are able to access credit reference agency databases to check that the details you have supplied us with are correct. This will show as a search of the database but not as a credit score, so will not affect your credit rating.

In the majority of cases this will enable us process your request without the need for any paper-based identification. If we need any further identification we will advise you of this.
