Things you need to know:

  • The holiday home must be occupied by the applicants at some period during the year. The property can be short term let for the remainder of the year, including via Airbnb;
  • Affordability is assessed using earned income, not rental yield;
  • Interest only applications will be considered up to 75% LTV, subject to our standard interest only criteria;
  • Properties must be standard construction types only and free of any occupancy restrictions;
  • Our standard lending criteria applies; and
  • The maximum age at the end of the mortgage term is 70 for employed applicants and 75 for self-employed applicants.
