Finance Manager   

Job Description: This is an opportunity to join our Finance team. The role has responsibility for the efficient production of all management accounting within the Finance Department, together with associated management analysis including the day-to-day supervision, motivation and development of a team of 3, and supporting the delivery of the departments’ objectives.

On a day to day basis the Finance Manager will work with the Head of Finance (HoF) to produce management accounts, budgetary control and financial forecasting development, product performance analysis, and financial accounts.

The individual will also be expected to assist with payroll, treasury management and regulatory reporting as required.

Salary: £42,000 - £46,000

Location: Tipton, DY4.

Hours: This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts, including all performance dashboards and supporting Board and Alco papers
  • Support the HoF with the production of annual corporate plan, quarterly forecasting process and monthly reporting of performance and cashflow to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Support the development of MI, insight and analysis for the Society
  • Provide business partnering to key stakeholders around the Society
  • Improving the control environment around key finance processes
  • Responsible for maintaining data integrity of the Sage accounting system and ALMIS (forecasting Software and Regulatory Reporting) and overseeing their development
  • Responsible for the management and processing of the Society’s monthly payroll including appropriate control framework
  • Responsible for Summit (core system) testing of Finance related processes and reports.
  • On-going consideration of departmental risks, controls and procedures
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by the HoF

To be successful you must have:

  • Recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

The individual would benefit from

  • Experience within the Financial Services industry and an understanding of associated regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining financial models
