The balance after 12 months on an initial deposit of £1,000 with an interest rate of 0.40% Gross / AER (variable) would be £1,004.00.
This estimation is an illustration only and assumes that the account is opened on 1 January, there are no additional deposits or withdrawals made, interest is paid gross and compounded into the account on 31 December, and there is no change to the interest rate.

The account is available for anyone aged 18 or over. You can open the account via the Tipton App only. Joint accounts are not permitted. Only one account per customer is allowed at any one time.
The minimum opening deposit is £100, and you must have at least £100 in the account to keep it open. You can pay money in via the App from your nominated bank account only. The maximum deposit amount is £100,000 per account.
Opening deposits must be made by electronic payment, you must send your initial deposit within 10 working days, or the account will be automatically closed.

Withdrawals will be subject to 30 days notice being provided.
Withdrawals can be made by transfer to your nominated bank account only, the minimum amount permitted per withdrawal is £100. No withdrawals are permitted in branch or through the post.
A maximum of three withdrawals may be made within each calendar year. Withdrawals taking the balance below £100 are only allowed on closure of your account. Upon making your third withdrawal, no further withdrawals, including account closure, are allowed until the following calendar year.

Interest is paid without tax deducted.
Not only will you earn interest on your savings but, you will also be supporting Midlands Air Ambulance at the same time. At the end of each year, we will make a donation to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity based on the average balances held in these accounts.
If you decide within 14 days of opening that the account isn’t right for you, you can have your money back without charge. We’ll arrange to close the account and return your money or switch your funds to another of our savings accounts.

We do not offer current accounts and therefore, no electronic payments can be set up from your account.
Withdrawals by a third party are only allowed where you have registered a third party mandate. To do so, please call us on 0121 557 2551, visit one of our branches or complete our online form.
The most you can withdraw each day without giving us notice is:

You can give notice by calling 0121 557 2551, in person in one of our branches or by completing our online form. Please be sure to notify us of how much you would like to withdraw, when you will be collecting it and what branch you will be withdrawing from.
You can open a savings account at any of our branches, no appointment is needed. Alternatively, you can post us a fully completed application form and a cheque made payable to yourself to our Tipton Head Office.
We have access to credit reference agency databases which in the majority of cases will allow us to prove your identity and address without the need for paper-based identification. However, if we do require further proof we will let you know. Please click here to see our list of acceptable identification.
If you would like to open an ISA with us we will require your National Insurance number.
