Here at The Tipton, supporting the local community is at the core of what we do. Each year we strive to help a number of local charities through various ways of fundraising and donating.

Midlands Air Ambulance

Each year, Society staff nominate a local charity to fundraise for during the year. Over the last 3 years, our staff have supported the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, a charity dedicated to providing critical response care to many incidents across the Midlands which may not be reachable by regular roadside ambulances. Throughout 2021, our staff have decided to continue to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity by fundraising in many different fun and creative ways.

Our staff have made up a Charity Committee, which is made up of various staff members who regularly meet to discuss fundraising ideas. Some have even been abseiling or sky diving!

We also offer Midlands Air Ambulance savings accounts. To which, the Society will make an annual donation to the Charity, based on the balance held in these accounts. You can find out more and view our accounts here.

Tipton Education Fund

The Tipton Education Fund was established to support educational programmes and facilities throughout Tipton. The Fund's goal is to assist schools and community projects, who are able to help children enhance their life skills in many different ways.

Our CEO, Richard Newton, is a proud member of the panel that assists in grant applications for the Tipton Education Fund.

Local Teams

We also continue to support a number of local sporting teams, through regular donations, in order to help with the operation of the clubs. Find out more about what they do below:

The club was first established in 1948, where it was originally known as Ocker Hill United. Ocker Hill United won many local leagues throughout the years, until it was then decided to change the club's name to Tipton Town in 1967.
