We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Business Analyst to join our Change Team within IT.  In this role, you’ll partner closely with business areas to shape and deliver high‑quality requirements, refine processes, and support the Society’s ongoing transformation journey.  If you’re driven by improving customer journeys, enhancing operational efficiency, and influencing meaningful change, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.

In this role you will:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into user stories, acceptance criteria and business requirements documentation.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to uncover pain points and identify opportunities to improve customer journeys.
  • Map “As Is” processes and design efficient, customer‑centric “To Be” processes that deliver measurable improvements.
  • Work closely with suppliers as a champion for the Society’s requirements.
  • Define and support UAT activity to ensure robust testing coverage and understanding.
  • Perform structured analysis of core system changes and undertake impact assessments, evaluating associated business benefits.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages dialogue, problem-solving and strong teamwork across delivery teams.

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Hold a BCS Practitioner Certificate.
  • Have strong understanding and knowledge of IT systems, including integrations, infrastructure and databases.
  • Bring experience of core banking systems for both Savings and Mortgages.
  • Have a proven track record of analysing and documenting business processes and requirements within savings and mortgage journeys.
  • Be experienced in Jira and lean control tools and processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory and risk compliance, ensuring solutions align with FCA, GDPR and internal risk frameworks.
  • Bring experience in digital best practice, technology risk and controls.
  • Have experience delivering complex projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Bring experience in partner/3rd party management with commercial and contractual acumen.
  • Have current or previous technical development experience, including exposure to modern infrastructure (Cloud, APIs, SaaS).
  • Demonstrate strong impact analysis skills across changing scope, team structures and priorities.
  • Be highly organised with a problem‑solving approach and ability to work under pressure.
  • Have strong verbal, written and numerical skills, with 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades 9–4 (A*–C) or equivalent.
  • Be able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, self‑motivate, work independently, and collaborate well within a multi‑disciplinary environment.

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 p.a.
Location: Tipton
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

The Society is able to offer hybrid working, following successful completion of an initial probationary period, you would be able to work 2 to 3 days at home each week.
