Customer Service Associate (Savings) - 12 Months FTC
We are looking for someone, for a 12 month fixed term period, who will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to internal Society departments and external savings and mortgage customers, ensuring that good customer outcomes are always delivered throughout their relationship with the Society.
In this role you will:
- Dealing with a variety of enquires and customer requests through multiple channels (telephone calls, emails, secure messages and post) efficiently and professionally
- Phone conversations with customers in a confident, friendly and informative manner solving queries in line with product terms, processes and regulatory legislation
- Back office administration activities, including new account opening, money transmission, reports, bank reconciliation and mobile app
- Recognising complaints and recording those in line with internal processes
- Have a right first-time approach consistently producing accurate work and taking ownership of customer queries through to resolution
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsibility for your own actions, deadlines, and targets
- Be well organised, resourceful, and flexible with the ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
- Maintain up to date knowledge of procedures, processes, and regulatory legislation
- Understanding risk associated within processes and how this impacts you and our customers
- Maintaining clear audit trails within customer records of actions undertaken
To be considered for this role you will:
- Be able to have effective, engaging and supportive conversations with our diverse member demographic, particularly those who require additional support
- Have excellent written and attention to detail skills on multiple, diverse and time sensitive tasks
- Be good at multi-tasking and balancing telephone calls with administration tasks
- Be competent in the use of various IT packages including MS Office suite
- Be resilient and confident with a positive solution orientated outlook to overcome any customer problems
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 5 GCSE grades A* to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language
- Experience within a multi-channel customer service environment
Salary: £24,479 per annum
Location: Head office based in Tipton
Hours: 12 month fixed term contract working 35 hours per week including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings with time off in lieu.
The Society is able to offer hybrid working, following successful completion of an initial probationary period, you would be able to work 2 to 3 days at home each week.
