Marketing & Product Administrator (6 Month FTC)

We are looking for someone to support the implementation of the Society’s marketing plan and provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing department.

Salary: £23,200 per annum

Location: Head office based in Tipton

Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the implementation of digital products, such as Search Engine Marketing and social media initiatives.
  • Use of google Analytics to review and improve the Society’s website.
  • Product changes including preparation and reprinting of literature.
  • Ensure all relevant departments and branches have a sufficient supply of compliant marketing literature.
  • Assist with the design of advertising and promotional material.
  • Ensuring the Society’s website is kept up to date. 
  • Provide sourcing companies with timely updates to changes of the Society’s products.
  • Preparation for meetings, including preparing and issuing minutes or reports.
  • General administrative duties, including answering the telephone, photocopying, scanning and printing.
  • Supply weekly marketing stationery orders to the branches.
  • Organise and attend out of hours marketing events/sponsorship events.
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by the Head of Marketing & Product, or any member of the Executive team.
  • Stock control of branded marketing materials.
  • Arranging the logistics for events attended by the Sales Department (please note, this will require the occasional lifting of boxes).
  • Daily management of the Society’s social media platforms.
  • Creation and sending of monthly regulatory mailings.
  • Ensure products are displayed accurately across sourcing platforms.
  • Complete product research to remain competitive and support new entries to market. 
  • To assist in the development of products.
  • To efficiently complete product set up processes.
  • To oversee the Society’s online presence.

To be successful you will have/be:

  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in marketing.
  • Excellent administrative skills, and PC skills, covering Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Able to follow and work to procedures and instructions to produce accurate and thorough work.
  • Able to work as part of a team and contribute to the team effort and objectives.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and to embrace the Society’s GREAT values.
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance.
  • Able to adopt flexible working patterns, to ensure all Society deadlines are met, and to meet any out of hours requirements e.g. to attend sponsorship/marketing events.
  • Organisation and workload management/prioritisation skills.

Essential:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9 to 4 / A* to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • 2 A Levels at grades A to C (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in a busy environment.

Desired:

  • A degree or relevant professional qualification in Marketing.
  • Experience of working within a Marketing role.
  • Experience of working in the Financial Services market.
  • A good knowledge of Search Engine Marketing.
