Mortgage Processor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Processor.
We’re looking for an individual to deliver exceptional levels of customer service and administration of new mortgage applications, pre and post completion, for both direct and introduced mortgage business.
In this role you will:
- Manage the department email inboxes, incoming telephone calls and post.
- Process new applications received requesting outstanding information, instructing valuations and data entry into core system.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and provide progress updates from receipt of application through to mortgage completion.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail making sure all applications are fully compliant and processed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for preparing and issuing a Mortgage Offer in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide an accurate and efficient service from post mortgage offer through to mortgage completion
- Manage all incoming completion enquiries via phone and email.
- Ensure that following redemption, the Society’s charge is removed in an accurate and timely manner at Land Registry.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and administrative skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, building good relationships with all third parties and colleagues.
- Can work under pressure, working to deadlines, as part of a team and individually.
- Reliable and flexible with time in order to ensure that the department meets its objectives.
- Adaptable to new technology as required, including the use of Laserfiche.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and to embrace the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and the Society’s values.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9 to 4 / A* to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
Salary: £23,200 per annum
Location: Tipton, West Midlands
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
The Society is able to offer hybrid working, following successful completion of an initial probationary period, you would be able to work 2 to 3 days at home each week.
