Project Manager
In this role you will support the delivery of our Digital Transformation programme, shaping and delivering change for our members, allowing them to choose how they do business with us whether on online, in app and in our branches. Working across multiple teams to ensure projects are delivered to time and cost plans and aligned with our purpose driven mission.
In this role you will:
- Lead project delivery through the whole lifecycle of planning, approval, delivery, risk management, closure, and review.
- Provide monthly reporting on project progress, risks and issues to Programme Manager.
- Work with internal teams and third parties to deliver change efforts.
- Run procurement exercises for new or replacement services.
- Control and optimize the project results through close involvement with Work Package (WP) Owners/Project Sub-system Managers.
- Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue on task assignments and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
To be considered you will need:
- Prince2 practitioner qualification
- Agile Foundation or Practitioner qualification (not essential)
- Strong familiarity and adherence to core Prince2 and Agile values and principles with strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations
- Technology Risk and Controls experience
- Experience of delivering complex projects to time, cost and quality.
- Experience of Partner / 3rd Party Management with commercial and contractual acumen
- Current or previous technical development experience including exposure to modern infrastructure Cloud, API’s, SaaS.
- Strong impact analysis ability to changes in scope, team structure, and priority
- High organisation skills with a problem-solving approach
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of verbal, written and numeric skills and must be computer literate.
- A sound knowledge of standard spreadsheet packages and project management systems
- Must be able to work with all stakeholders both internal and external, be self-motivating, able to work on own initiative, liaise and delegate effectively with staff operating in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the business
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 p.a. dependent on experience and qualifications
Location: Tipton, West Midlands
Hours: 35 per week
The Society is able to offer hybrid working, following successful completion of an initial probationary period, you would be able to work 2 to 3 days at home each week.
