Sharing proceeds from our annual fundraising

It’s a Tipton tradition that we nominate different local charities each year to receive money from our fundraising activities.

In 2024, colleagues chose not one, but four charity partners: Acorns Children’s Hospice, Balls to Cancer, Heartlands Hospital Neonatal Unit and Midland Langar Seva Society.

What followed was a whole host of activities to get the pounds rolling in. Our teams organised raffles, tombolas and prize draws.

We enjoyed a mouthwatering bake off, worked up a sweat during our spinathon challenge, stepped out for a sponsored walk and even put on our own fashion show.

Our customers also got behind each of the causes, giving generously at the various community events we attended, including the Tipton Canal & Community Festival.

By the end of the year, we had a £10,000 pot to share, resulting in equal donations of £2,500 to each partner.

We recently met with our charities to present their cheques in person and learn more about the fabulous work they do.

For Midland Langar Seva Society, our partnership continues to thrive, with teams of Society colleagues regularly volunteering at the charity’s community street feeds.

They told us: ‘We are incredibly grateful to have been one of the charities chosen by your amazing team for fundraising. Your generosity, energy and creativity have truly touched our hearts.

‘This donation will go a long way in helping us continue to serve those most in need through our UK and international projects. Thank you for this incredible gesture.’
