With community support high on the agenda, Tipton & Coseley Building Society is proud to continue its long-standing relationship with Tipton Harriers.

Since its formation in 1910, Tipton Harriers has been inspiring generations of athletes, catering for all levels and ages, from beginner right up to Olympians. Members participate in track and field events, as well as road and cross country running. Several runners from the club have competed at county level as well as representing team GB.

The relationship between The Tipton and the Harriers spans nearly 40 years, with the first committee meeting taking place in July 1982.

Marg Cherrington, Tipton Harriers’ General Secretary, commented: "Athletics is great fun and helps to keep you fit. It's even more of a pleasure in the 'family' atmosphere that exists at Tipton Harriers. The cost of running the club is rising year on year. The contribution we receive from Tipton and Coseley Building Society means we can keep this important community hub up and running.”

Becky Poole, The Tipton’s Marketing Manager, commented: “We’ve been supporting the Harriers for many years. We’re immensely proud to support the local community in this way, and hopefully Olympians of the future.”
