Customers and employees of the Tipton and Coseley Building Society have donated a huge haul of new toys, clothes, and treats to bring smiles to children this Christmas.

Boxes of gifts, collected in branches, are now heading for Santa's Black Country Toy Appeal and will soon be distributed to youngsters in need in the area.

The West Midlands-based charity estimates more than 104,265 children are trapped in poverty in the Black Country.

Emma Gibbons, charity committee member at the Tipton and Coseley Building Society, said: "Being active in our local community is important to us and we are conscious of the increasing pressure on the cost of living. That is why I am delighted that customers and colleagues have donated a magnificent amount of toys to Santa's Black Country Toy Appeal again this year."
