The JW Hunt Cup Charity has raised a record £15,000 during the first half of 2023, already surpassing its annual target of £10,000 for the Beacon Centre for the Blind, which supports people living with sight loss in the West Midlands.

The JW Hunt Cup Charity football competition was formed in 1926 to raise funds for the sole benefit of the local blind. Since its inception, the JW Hunt Cup has raised an amazing £405,000 for the Beacon Centre for the Blind. The Beacon make a valuable difference for people with sight loss, helping them live fuller, more independent lives, supporting people across the West Midlands and South Staffordshire.

The Tipton & Coseley Building Society have now been supporting The JW Hunt Cup Charity for 25 years, donating over £4,000. Our Society make donations yearly to the Charity and place adverts in the JW Hunt Cup programmes where the funds go to the Beacon Centre for the Blind.

Emma Gibbons, our Senior Marketing & Product Administrator from the Tipton & Coseley Building Society said: ‘The Tipton is delighted to be supporting the JW Hunt Cup Charity yearly which does such a wonderful job raising money for the Beacon Centre for the Blind for those living with sight loss in the West Midlands.’
